Everyday Elegance

The new Breitling collection offers quality, performance and a timeless design that represents the heritage of the brand. The firm launched its first collection in the 1940s, and now presents five different extremely elegant models that are inspired by those times. It was during that decade that Premier Breitling watches set a new trend. While the brand specializes in aviation and diving watches, the new models are designed to be used on land. “It is Breitling’s first modern collection designed for everyday elegance. Because of their outstanding quality and performance, these watches cannot deny that they carry the unmistakable DNA of the brand, but they have been conceived to emphasize a style that is a beautiful complement to its purpose”, says Georges Kern, Breitling CEO. Emerged in the 1940s, when the global context was one of economic uncertainty, the Breitling Premier models represented the elegance that people longed for so much. That same beauty and distinction is found in the current collection that exhibits chronographs; day and date models; and elegant three-hand watches with an internal dial for the small second hand.

All Premier B01 Chronograph 42s are equipped with Breitling’s caliber 01, one of the most refined mechanical watch movements in the world. The chronograph, which is self-winding and chronometer certified, has a power reserve of more than seventy hours. Its case is robust, made entirely of stainless steel with a transparent back and its measurement is 42 mm. The dial contrasts perfectly with the black inner dials. The minute counter is at three o’clock, while the small second hand is at nine. The space reserved for the date is at six o’clock. The dial is available in navy blue or silver. The blue dial watch strap offers a choice between the blue crocodile leather; the one in brown nubuck leather with white stitching; or the stainless steel bracelet. For the silver dial model, the strap can be made of nubuck leather, black crocodile leather or stainless steel. All models have a white tachymeter scale, located on an internal bezel that surrounds the dial. Another outstanding model in the collection is the Premier Chronograph 42, which features an exquisite Breitling caliber 13 movement. Like the previous piece, this model has chronograph counters for minutes and hours located at twelve o’clock. At nine o’clock it has an internal dial with a small second.

The 42 mm stainless steel case is presented with both a blue dial and a black dial. It also wears a white ring tachymeter with a black scale. The strap options are the crocodile leather, the nubuck with white stitching or the stainless steel bracelet. The collection also offers Premier Automatic 40, the model that most closely resembles the elegance of the 1940s. Inside the case is a Breitling Caliber 37, a mechanical chronometer movement with automatic winding. The dial is surrounded by a white minute scale, to which is added the internal dial with a small second at six o’clock. The dials are available in anthracite, blue and silver, and the straps are in crocodile leather, nubuck or stainless steel. Premier Automatic Day & Date 40 is a key piece in the collection. This precious watch has, in addition to the time, day and date, indications located at twelve and six o’clock. Its Breitling caliber 45 chronometer movement is self-winding. The dial is offered in black or silver, and the accompanying bracelet can be made of nubuck, crocodile skin or stainless steel. The collection also developed the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green, a piece made together with Bentley Motors, a maker of beautiful luxury cars. The Breitling caliber 01 mechanical movement can be enjoyed thanks to the transparent case back. In addition, the watch offers a power reserve of seventy hours.

The striking dial is designed in a flawless British racing green hue and is paired with a stainless steel bracelet or green leather strap. The delicate internal dials have the ideal color contrast and are set at three and nine o’clock. The date window is located at six o’clock. On the left side of the case there is an engraved plaque bearing the Bentley name. It is inspired by the dashboard of the 1920 Bentley Blower with a supercharged engine. The Bentley logo also highlights the transparent case back.
