Listening to customers, satisfying their requests over time and accepting constant challenges is part of the Benetti seal. The new M / Y Metis is a new statement of Benetti excellence, at sixty-three meters long, with a draft of three meters and a weight of twelve hundred and forty-five tons. The construction of the boat is the result of constant dialogue between the owner (actively involved in the design of this elegant super yacht) and the engineers who listened to and satisfied his needs and were inspired by him to create this mega yacht, which exquisitely incorporates the proportions dynamics of a luxury boat and the incomparable experience of the renowned firm.
With an impressively long and vertical bow, Metis is a modern and timeless yacht, with large volumes behind flowing lines and some innovative features. The design is minimalist but typical of Benetti, who showed proof of her enormous design capacity by incorporating a custom gym on the Fly Deck. This facility allows guests to train both indoors and outdoors: sliding forward and backward doors and dark-colored side windows ensure total privacy and an incomparable view of the sea.
On the other hand, the outdoor areas were designed to live outside at any time of the day, thanks to a spacious relaxation area with Jacuzzi, hammocks, mini bar, ice chest and a high-performance steel plate, which allows guests to enjoy meals straight from the counter. The upper deck has a striking lounge area with a grand piano and a bar, while the interiors have been arranged in a thirty-degree rotation from traditional settings, to offer an unusual and surprising layout. Behind this area, large outdoor spaces are discovered with a round dining table and another relaxation area designed for conviviality. However, the main star is between the center section and the stern: covering more than one hundred and sixty square meters and framed by full-height panoramic windows that flood the stage with light, is the owner’s suite. Its design is based on a contemporary range of finishes in oak, carbon fiber and polished steel along with Calacatta marble. Its bold geometric shapes are echoed in the stainless steel bed frames, furniture, and finishes. The spacious bedroom has two bathrooms – his and hers – one with a sauna and shower and the other with a bathtub. The suite is completed with an exterior of fifty-five square meters, a terrace on the same level and a helipad. An important detail to note is that in the main room, on the same deck, there is a large relaxation area with a backgammon table and a dining room with a long rectangular table. Further on, the garage opens through a side hatch almost two meters above the waterline with a space of eight meters and two jet skis.
Finally, all the applause is taken away by its power and efficiency when walking; Propulsion is provided by two 1,380 kW MTU 12V engines that offer a top speed of sixteen knots and a range of five thousand nautical miles at a cruising speed of twelve knots.
